I wanted to share my first class at Republic of Yoga in Cary, NC with all of my readers. It is in the quaint neighborhood of Stone Creek Village. My first impression when I walked through the door was how sweet their owner Nicole was and how welcoming she made every single attendee. Yoga can be extremely intimidating. Especially for someone like me that can barely touch my toes! (darn hamstrings…) But this environment was anything but. It appeared to me all attendees were from different levels and backgrounds of Yoga, so my inexperience did not matter nor stick out.
I attended a Sunday morning Gentle class. It was the perfect start to the day. It was everything the class description lead me to believe. Calm and soothing. The studio was clean and pretty in a very simple and modern way. I wanted to hang out there all afternoon! One class that caught my eye on the schedule was the restorative class on Tuesday nights. I train in various ways. Running, weight lifting, barre classes and occasional yoga and/or pilates classes, so the thought of one night a week having some time to stretch and help my body recover from the week sounds wonderful. I look forward to checking it out.
